Mother's Day is coming!

Next month is Mother’s Day when the entire USA celebrates the beauty and grace of motherhood. Maybe as a mother myself, I’m a bit biased but I love this special day. It’s a chance to be grateful for everything I have and the opportunity to teach and mentor. How we grow is so important in shaping us and with that come role models such as mothers.

But if you ask your spouse, they’ll say “want to know how you’ll look when you’re older? Check out your mom!” So this got me thinking, is it actually a true indicator of how we’ll look as we age? Studies have shown that the signs of aging are usually caused by environmental factors but most aging comes from the mother’s DNA. More specifically mitochondrial DNA, the mitochondria are the power packs of the cell and convert our food into energy to run all bodily processes. These cells have their own DNA and that gets passed from mother to child. So if your mom has damaged mitochondrial DNA so will you.

So there you go, it really is in the genes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t improve matters by improving your lifestyle and environmental factors. Thankfully that’s where I come in and I have plenty of methods of preventing aging and reversing some of the damage that might have been done. I can bring out the Lumecca IPL  for you to erase age spots and fine lines, or go for a heavier hitter such as Morpheus8 RF Microneedling to get down to those deeper layers, for mom! This is one of the most exciting things for me to see in the spa. Clients coming in and celebrating their wonderful mothers with a mutual pampering and beauty session, think Oxygenation facials that breathe life into tired skin, while enjoying an IV nutritional therapy session such as the beautifying Inner Beauty IV. I have your places ready where you can natter and laugh, enjoy some special care from our fabulous therapists and generally unwind.

Come in and see us at Invigorate Advanced Aesthetics in Centennial, Colorado to start your Morpheus8 RF Microneedling or Oxygenation facials schedule.
