The Semaglutide Program

Semaglutide is an injectable medication of a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) antagonist that slows gastric emptying and reduces glucose absorption. Semaglutide is delivered in weekly injections. The process starts by completing a comprehensive questionnaire about your medical history. At your first appointment you’ll have your health reviewed to ensure you are a good candidate for Semaglutide. If you are healthy and have an appropriate body mass index you’ll get your first injection then each week return for the next injection. It is important to stay on a very repetitive weekly schedule. If you miss a weekly appointment your dosage may be decreased to minimize side effects.
Your weight loss depends upon a variety of factors. Some studies have shown up to ten percent of weight loss in twelve months. You can maximize your weight loss by adopting a robust diet and exercise program. Semaglutide decreases your appetite, but it does not speed up your metabolism. Your body fat percentage may be a better measure of Semaglutide effectiveness than your total weight.

The most common side effects are nausea and constipation. Eating smaller meals, avoiding high fat foods, and remaining upright after eating can decrease these side effects. Over the counter medications can be used for these side effects. Some people report not feeling as thirsty as before Semaglutide injections, which may contribute to constipation. Increasing water intake may decrease your risks of constipation.

Styku not only measures body composition, it ranks user based on gender/age and sets suitable weight loss goals for those parameters.
Full bloodwork is also carried out to help narrow down issues and root causes. This includes an Initial Blood Panel for men & women, a Full Comprehensive Panel for men & women and a Hormone Panel for men & women. The latter is an often overlooked reason behind weight loss and gain.

We begin with bloodwork to identify all possible methods that may be hindering weight loss. Then we assess entire body composition, fat %, BMI, skeletal muscle, visceral fat and inflammation using the Styku body scan machine.
How it works
We analyze your diet and evaluate vitamin deficiencies. The goal is to heal on a cellular level and that starts with food. Three steps follow:
- Week 1: Medically supervised liver detox
- Week 2: Diet & nutrition guidance to correct malnutrition and habits
- Week 3: Continued nutrition, balanced diet and intermittent fasting schedule
